How to get to Drake Bay information!

From San José you must travel by bus to the Sierpe River or to Palmar Norte.

Search for bus schedules at tracopacr.com.

These go through 2 routes mainly, the mountain one through San Gerardo de Dota, Perez Zeledon, Buenos Aires..., and the one on the Coast through Jaco, Parrita, Quepos, Dominical, Uvita..., mainly.

From Palmar Norte to the town of Rio Sierpe you can travel by bus that leaves every 1 hour and a half and lasts about 30 minutes, or by taxi that lasts about 10 minutes.

From the town of Rio Sierpe you must take a boat that lasts approximately 1 hour to the main beach of Drake, this costs $20 per person in cash and can only be booked the day before the trip. The fee must be paid directly to the captain.

You can also get to Sierpe by car and drop it off in one of the car parking places  that offer that service.

From Sierpe to Drake: 11:30 am and 4:00 pm only. From Drake to Sierpe: 07:30 am and 2:30 pm only.

To get to Tapiru's House by car, you must get to Agujitas de Drake, Osa, Puntarenas.

To arrive by plane from Drake Bay Airport, you have to book a taxi that costs $25 for 1 or 2 people or $10 per person when there are more than 3 people. Price in cash. It lasts about 20 minutes...
